On 1 May 2021, a new EU directive entered into force on the labelling of tyres with respect to fuel efficiency and other parameters.
"Alcohol lock, preparatory installation" is preparation in the car that simplifies the connection of an alcohol lock. With an alcohol lock in the car, you prevent the car being started with a drunk driver behind the wheel.
What is unique with "Alcohol lock, preparatory installation" is that the preparation allows the alcohol lock to be integrated with the car's functions. Thus you can get instructions and messages from the alcohol lock in the main display. E.g. information that the engine can be started or that you need to take a breath test.
In sudden slippery conditions, the sock is easy to mount on the wheel, providing increased friction on snow and ice. It takes up little storage space and can be reused.
The snow sock is made of a high-tech fibre material, the fibres of which are roughened during use in order to provide optimal grip. The material is both strong and resilient to further increase the wheel's contact area with hard snow and ice.
The snow sock is ordered in pairs and is used on the two driving wheels. It can be used on both summer and winter tyres, with or without studs. The sock is also suitable for cars with narrow wheel housings and it does not damage the wheel rims.
